Counsellor Directory

This innovative membership service serves to promote business information about your counselling practice, specialized services and skills as well as the ability to upload a profile picture and business logo. With futurist trends heading towards a generation that seeks information online as well as a specific set of skills, knowledge and experience, the CPCA believes this directory will provide a competitive edge for marketing our member's counselling services across Canada to the public, insurance providers, EAP contractors and government for verification of your legitimacy. All members who are in "good standing" will be approved to list their contact information in the directory on an annual basis. It allows our members to login to their directory listing once it has been approved and make any changes to their contact information.

Description

Kathleen is a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling-Provisional (MPCC) with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA) and working on her registration with CCPA. She warmly welcomes her clients with compassion and empathy, ensuring that their experiences and concerns are truly seen and honoured. From this caring foundation, she embarks on a collaborative journey with her clients, helping them explore and move from where they are to where they aspire to be. Kathleen encourages clients to creatively explore their personal stories, blending past experiences with present realities, and future aspirations. This integrative approach engages the mind, emotions, and body, promoting deeper self-awareness, empowerment, and overall well-being. Sensitive to cultural influences on identity, family, and community, Kathleen’s practice helps clients navigate these complexities with humility, empathy and insight. Kathleen’s authentic and genuine approach supports clients in examining the “stories” and “labels” they’ve absorbed over their lifetime. Through this lens, clients can discern which narratives serve them and work on those which hold them back. This process helps transform old, limiting patterns that contribute to frustration, depression, anxiety, and feelings of unworthiness, empowering clients to live more fulfilling and meaningful lives with confidence and purpose. Using a holistic approach, Kathleen integrates various therapeutic theories and methods tailored to each client’s unique needs. Included in her personalized therapeutic approach, Kathleen draws on her background in Human Nutritional Sciences, Family Medicine, Surgery (colorectal cancer and bariatric), and evidence-based research. Building a trusting therapeutic alliance is central to Kathleen’s practice, fostering an environment where clients feel validated and supported as they enhance their relationship with themselves and others.
